40,011!! Took me two days to do the 5,000 but that's okay. Tomorrow is also a loss, which leaves saturday and sunday as my writing days. Should be okay... *crosses fingers* I might be able to get a few hours done tomorrow.

I mean, Athin was going to get with Varyn, however now that I'm in the 'present' I was updating all their ages and... Athin is 38. Which is excellent news, really, because I probably won't be able to write much at all tomorrow or friday. *sulk* Anyway. I've finally finished the back story. This meaning: I wrote a paragraph, re-read it, paused, and went "...this needs backstory." 34,000 words later, I've finished the backstory, and can now start writing back where I was. ^_^ Stupid brain. Going to go home now. I've written "WRITE!" in my diary tomorrow morning, because I don't start work until 10am, but I think I might get a little more sleep instead. Maybe. The "I can't believe it's not winter" sleepover is finally being held - if you're thinking to youself "wow, vel's posting at a normal time of day!" you're wrong - it's almost 4am here and I'm dead tired. I have to teach karate at 10am this morning. I am about to go home and sleep. Things I have accomplished today: -worked for 4 hours. -QC run - notables include Azumanga Daioh 2, and Scryed 5. -Prepared for sleepout. -had unisfa committee meeting. -went back and forth between uni and home, about three times. blah. -watched about 7 episodes of Star Ocean EX. Bowman is sex. Precis is annoying. Dias is HOT. -Received Star Ocean 2: The Second Story from Liz on CD -watched two episodes of Full Metal Alchemist. Haven't written any more tonight because I had another meet-up with the Perth Nano-ers in Northbridge that went for /hours/. Twig, my email is probably incomprehensible. 20,045!! I originally went to post ten minutes ago, and typed in "19,960", paused, and then returned to my nano window and wrote until I cracked the 20,000 barrier. I am now 2/5ths of the way there! ^_^ *bounce* And here I thought I wasn't going to make my 3000 words today - and then Iliandra danced with the king and some stupid noble had a fit and it was great!

I keep forgetting to blog, or going to do it and then running out of time. Therefore, quick points:
1. I have written no nano. At all. None whatsoever. I do, however, have about 2000 words of a completely unrelated story that I wrote yesterday. ^_^ 2. I had a dream the other night that Twig visited and we drove around Perth. We were driving really slowly because she was behind the wheel and everything was on the 'wrong' side of the road. And when we drove back to her hotel, someone had strung up a bunch of washing in the underground carpark and we had to navigate sheets and nightgowns etc to get a parking spot. ...my brain is weird. 3. ...there is no point three. No, wait. I typed the prologue and chapter 1 of rhyliann, and am slowly htmling it. So, more fic updates in the near future. 4. I have not written nano for about a week and a half. I am /insane/. No, wait. I didn't start nano until yesterday last year, so in actual fact I'm 12,000 words up on last year. whee. 5. I can re-enroll on monday. And then I can transfer out of engineering forever! Whee! 6. I downloaded 7 and a half volumes of Saiyuki manga last night. 7. My distraction story characters are beating up my nano characters. Help. 8. The end. Sunday, November 09, 2003

So, uh, I updated Paradise Lost yesterday, despite the fact that I had no network access, because the machine that hosts it is just across the room. ^_^ Mainly pictures and scans, but hopefully I can get some stuff typed up soon.

No writing yesterday, because I had work all day, got home, ate food, and went to karate. We did every single kata twice, one to the count and one to our own timing, all the way up to sepai, and then we went through hangetsu three times and karurunfa twice (albeit slowly because most of us didn't know it). And then we got our mits and pads on and sparred for about three longish bouts. I think we were all dripping by the end. And then I went to Uni and checked blogs, and then I went home and had dinner and talked to my sister until about 2 in the morning, and then I went to sleep.
This means that, assuming a rounded average of 2000 words per day, today is my last day of grace before I have to start writing again, or be behind. Of course, I'm not particularly worried, but I'd like to keep ahead. I've decided to post up the sections to friendslocked LJ, so hopefully everyone will be able to see it. 12, 748. Because I am tired and didn't get much writing done. Also, one of the UCCans was (is) watching Terminator 3 on the computer across the room, and I kept getting distracted and making snarky comments on it, even though I had (have) my headphones on with Evanescence blaring away, and he had (has) his headphones on and I can't hear any sound. Present tense because he's still watching it. After a while he turned the screen around for me, so it wasn't so bad. ^_^ But still. Bad writer. Only 2,400 or so. *smacks wrist* Iliandra gets Athin half naked! *cheers* No, not like /that/. He had a debilitating shoulder injury. Throwing knife up to the hilt right below his left collarbone, and all that. *makes face* nasty, huh. *grins evilly* I gotta stop with the emotes, and get down and actually post the damn thing. *sigh* Maybe over the next weekend or something...
...maybe I'll make a friends locked journal. Anamiisaslut, or Velisinsane, or something. You guys without LJ's know people with them, right? Twig has Lunar, Ann and Thorne and Tsaiko have LJs...
