So I haven't done a full social blogging type blogpost for ages and ages and ages. So I thought it was about damn time. So I present to you... "Presently I've been mocking a fresher harshly in #unisfa. I think the detailed explanation of the way it's hard for us to tell freshers apart because they're inherently dull and lacking in distinguishing personality features wasn't too nasty, but the comparison to ants was that extra touch that made it beautifully harsh.
"Hey, the beginning-of-semester grace period is concluded. The freshers who have failed to make themselves interesting or particularly likeable yet are now fair game. Rowr, rowr! To attack with savagery!" Rae? Sweetheart? ...ants? I mean, really. Dull, fine. Lacking in distinguishing personality features, again, fine. But ants? that stings. I hope that I'm one of the interesting or likeable freshers. ... and before you think that you've offended me deeply and that I'm going to slap you next time I see you, fear not. I blinked, then laughed, and hope that I fall into said category so I can join you in ripping freshers to shre- *ahem* I mean, of course, that as Fresher Rep I'd have to... er... um. Lemme get back to you on that one. ^_^;; Chris, nice weblog. *points to sidebar* I've linked you. *grins* see, this is why blogs are better than livejournals... you can have links down the sides of your page. And you can link people of both persuasions, whereas I think LJ users can only link LJ people... not being a LJ user, of course, I wouldn't have the slightest clue. Cheer up, sweetheart. *blinks* I think sweetheart is my word of the day. Anyway. Let me get onto my Tale of Woe for the week. month. until I next post. I love being able to wake up whenever my alarm goes off. Of course, I pay for this when my body decides to disconnect from my brain. This has happened about... oh, 5 or 6 times over the past few years? I'll go to sleep at some ungodly hour (this morning, out of interest, it was 3:30 on the nose) and then my alarm will go off a few hours later. Now my brain, before I'd gone to bed, had said to my body I need to wake up at 7:30. And my body had replied, screw that. I'm sleeping in. and disconnected me. So when my alarm went off this morning, my brain stayed asleep, and my body switched off my alarm and went right back to sleep. I don't even remember doing it, and I /know/ I put the alarm on last 'night'. So my mum opens my door at 8:10 and says Jen? shouldn't you be up? And I sit bolt upright in bed and swear and curse my annoying body that disconnected my brain and hurry to the shower. I got to work at 8:45, which means that it took me about 20 minutes to have a shower and get dressed and eat breakfast. I think that's fairly impressive myself. That'll have to do for today. Sab, didn't you change your layout just a week ago? ... You go through layouts faster than a very, very fast thing. Make me a new one too, dammit!!! I'm sick. Not badly sick, not I'm-going-to-throw-up-my-toenails sick, just I-feel-like-crap sick. I hate this. But hey, it could be worse. I could be using entire tissue boxes in 4 hours and be on penicillin for 3 months and still not recover before Spring! Yes, this used to be me. Now? I'll recover in a few days. But I still feel crap. :(
